Alex Carignan

Dr. Carignan is a microbiologist-infectiologist at the CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS and a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Université de Sherbrooke. He also holds a master’s degree in epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Carignan is a clinical fellow of the Fonds de recherche santé Québec and his research interests include the epidemiology of emerging infections in Quebec. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he is regularly solicited to do interviews in several regional and national media.
