Patient and responsible of communications at the Association de Neurofibromatose du Québec
Casandra Poitras is a political science student at the University of Quebec in Montreal. At the professional level, she works at the Association de Neurofibromatose du Québec (ANFQ) as a communications manager. A former candidate in the federal elections twice, she has acquired the most diversified experience. Casandra also has complex rare diseases. These diseases, combined with his political experience, have led him to develop skills in the management of patients with rare and orphan diseases in the Canadian health care system as well as a unique understanding of the current conditions of patients and the conditions accessibility to rare treatments and drugs. For this reason, she decided to focus on the study of the Canadian health care system.
