Yoshua Bengio

Professor - University of Montreal; Founder and scientific director - Mila - Institut québécois d'IA

Recognized globally as one of the leading experts in artificial intelligence, Yoshua Bengio is best known for his pioneering work in deep learning, which won him the 2018 AM Turing Prize, “the Nobel Prize in computer science”, with Geoffrey Hinton and Yann LeCun. He is a full professor at the University of Montreal, and the founder and scientific director of Mila – Institut québécois d’IA. He co-leads CIFAR’s Learning in Machines & Brains program as a Senior Fellow and acts as Scientific Director of IVADO.
