Pamela Shaver Walker

Pamela Shaver Walker began her career in toxicology as a research scientist and study director at Charles River Laboratories in Senneville, Quebec. Over her more than 25 years in the drug development industry, Pam has held roles including Scientific Training lead, Global Reporting Director, Operational Excellence Executive Director, Corporate Vice President Data and Report Delivery Services, and is currently the CVP, Global Head of Operations at Charles River Laboratories, Safety Assessment which is comprised of 23 sites around the world. Pam holds a BSc in Human Genetics from McGill University and an MSc in Genetic Toxicology from York University.

Pam is the past Chair of the Montreal Chapter of Women in Bio and most recently collaborated with colleagues locally to establish the Charles River Senneville site’s Women and Allies Employee Resource Group and is passionate about reducing drug development timelines through operational excellence, process optimization and digitalization. As part of her “day job”, Pam partners with senior leaders to drive initiatives that converge across operations, such as capacity management, scheduling, technology and learning and development program evolution
