assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University, Researcher in the oncology unit of the CHU de Québec - Laval University research center
Dr. François Bordeleau is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University and a researcher in the oncology unit of the CHU de Québec – Laval University research center. He holds the Canada Research Chair in Cancer Mechanobiology and Cellular Mechanoregulation, his laboratory is interested in the impact of the mechanical properties of tissues on the development of diseases, and in particular cancers. His training is multidisciplinary and covers the fields of engineering, physics and cell biology. Taking advantage of advances in biomedical engineering, Dr. Bordeleau and his team’s approach is based on the development of new 3D tumor models produced in the laboratory coupled with the use of innovative technologies to decode cancer biology.
